A+ Learning Academy

So with me going back to work and my mom going back to work, we had to find a fabulous place for the kiddos, and we did! A+ Learning Academy is where several of our close friends take their kids, and after talking to them, touring the facility and meeting the director, we knew it was a perfect fit. We jumped at the chance to start taking them part time in the summer to save their spots and warm them up to being there. Colby, as expected, LOVES his new school. He is so excited for Tuesday/Thursday school days! Cami is having a bit of a rough time getting adjusted, but I am confident that once school starts and she goes on a regular basis, she will learn to love it too.
This was the morning of their 1st day at A+!
I was SO excited to pick the kids up after their first day and see that Cami got to do her first art activity!! I know she loved this hands-on activity.
The biggest struggle has been the fact that she is still taking 2 naps at home, but her class at the daycare only takes one. Again, this will be easier to adjust to when she is going every day consistently. Sweet Kayla texted me this picture last week, though, to show me my sleeping princess! (on a nap mat!!)
Camryn's wonderful teachers made these for the daddies for Father's Day :)
Colby's class studied the phases of the moon a few weeks ago. How cool is this??? We do this in SECOND grade to go along with our curriculum. Awesome!

SUMMER!!!!!!!!

Yes, we have spent most of our summer on vacation :) BUT we've done lots of fun stuff at home too!!!!! Here are some catch-up pictures from the past few months. Cami's 1st TCBY treat and 1st snocone, Colby's last t-ball game and end of season bowling party, family fun day at the Marshall's farm, KP field day, triple date at the bowling alley with the Betts and the Bonners, fun on the Stahls new boat, water day in our front yard, open gym, tons of swimming, celebrating the upcoming arrival of baby Hayden Fryar and celebrating Katie Bonner's birthday. SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

5 more weeks until mommy goes back to school....we have lots more time for memory making!!!

ZMZ Ranch Camp 2013

I think we had about 60 out of 120 of our ZMZ family at the Frio River this year. We always have tons of fun and this year was no different!!
My very favorite part of the week was in the afternoons when we would all just gather at the river and hang out. The water was shallow enough for the babies to crawl around and in some areas, deep enough for the bigger kids to jump off rocks, catch minnows, and play.
In the mornings we would meet at the pool area before lunch and nap time
Sparklers were so fun!!! Colby learned a very important lesson the hard way...don't touch the end of the sparkler!!! Luckily he came away with only a tiny little burn, but from all of the whooping and hollering, you would have thought he was dying!
1st craft- USA hand print shirts turned out super cute
This spunky little girl loves the Frio!
 Beautiful back porch view
2nd craft- tie dye pillow cases!! (yes, I let Colby do most of his and yes, it ended in stained clothes, but that's ok! He loved it!)
He also loved playing with these sweet girls!
Pool area at River Rim Resort
Chuck taught Colby how to climb up on the rocks and jump off. (Don't worry that there was a sign that said NO JUMPING OFF ROCKS)
I think Mamaw and Papaw thoroughly enjoyed their time with their great grandbabies!
